As pastor of one of the largest parishes in the Archdiocese, Monsignor Helmick puts forth great effort to make sure that liturgies and sacraments are celebrated with great reverence and care. His care and concern for his parishioners is well known and appreciated by all.

Monsignor Helmick has served as the Archdiocesan Master of Ceremonies and as Secretary to Cardinals.  He currently serves on several Archdiocesan boards.

Father Bradford is a part time parochial vicar at St. Theresa’s, as well as the Pastor of St Athanasius Parish (Anglican use).  Father Bradford is a great help to our parish in many ways.

 
 

Father Peter P. Nolan C.S.Sp

Father Peter P. Nolan, C.S.Sp. was here at St Theresa’s from 1981 to 1996 as assistant first to Monsignor Sheehan and then to Monsignor Helmick. He was appointed Pastor at Most Precious Blood in Hyde Park and St. Pius X parish in Milton in February of 1997, and was there until June 2014. Father Nolan is now a Senior Priest in residence here at St. Theresa’s and he is available to help with any of the ministries as needed, such as Mass, confessions, and funerals. Father Nolan has so many friends here and was warmly welcomed back home. He is happy to be back as a part of the Saint Theresa community once again. This is Father Nolan’s 30th mission. He spent 8 years in Nigeria and 9 years in Ghana before coming here in 1981. At one point he had 10,000 refugees in his Parish from 1967-1970 during the war in Ghana. His Parish in Nigeria has now been made into 13 Parishes. Two and a half years ago Father Nolan was made a Chief of the Ibo (Igbo) tribe in Nigeria and is also Chaplain to the Chiefs of Nigeria in New England. Father Nolan has spread his caring ways all over the globe and we are thrilled to have him back at St. Theresa’s to stay.

 
 

The Most Reverend Emilio Allue, SDB, DD

Bishop Allue is a retired Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese. He is in residence at St. Theresa’s rectory. He continues to do Confirmations throughout the Archdiocese and ministers to the Spanish Apostolate and is active in the US Conference of Catholic Bishops. He is also a HUGE Red Sox fan!

 
 

Carol O'Brien

Carol is the person to contact if you need sacramental records or to register for the parish.  She will try to help you with any request regarding parish life. Carol is not only the parish secretary, but she is Monsignor Helmick’s right hand. Carol has been with St. Theresa’s for many years in many different capacities.

Cathy provides administrative back up support for Carol O’Brien. She is in charge of the altar server’s schedule and their training. She keeps track of donations to the offertory, the Capital Campaign and special collections. She is also an Extraordinary Minister.

Carol maintains our website, our Facebook page and Twitter accounts.  Some of you may know her from St. Theresa School where she was active in the PTA and volunteering at school/parish events, and was a parent at the school for 12 years.  Carol has two children who have graduated from St. Theresa School and are now attending Boston Latin School and Mt. Susan Abbott

Susan Abbott spent many years as the director of St Theresa Parish Religious Education program.  She then became the director of Religious Education for the Archdiocese of Boston where she developed many of the current programs used throughout the  archdiocese.  She is now Coordinator of Parish Outreach in the Pastoral Planning Office and directs the parish RCIA   (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) program.  Please contact Susan if you are interested in becoming  Catholic or furthering your education in the Catholic faith.

 
   

Sr. Marie Julie Seguin, SCSM

Sr. Marie Julie is a Sister of Charity of St. Mary and is originally from Canada. She lives in community with three of her sisters here in West Roxbury and togehter they run a day care. She loves to work with the children in our parish and teach them about their faith. She is the coordinator of Grade 1-6 Religious Education including First Penance and First Communion.

 
 

Ellen Klein

Ellen graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville with a degree in Catechetics and Theology and was a FOCUS missionary to college students for four years. She is the coordinator of Grades 7-10 Religious Education, the peer ministry program and parish youth ministry. She is responsible for the Sacrament of Confirmation which is celebrated in Grade 10.  Her classes meet on Tuesday evenings at 7 PM in St. Theresa School.

 
 

Jennifer McKiernan

Jennifer is the Baptism coordinator for the parish. She arranges the dates and collects the information for all baptisms. Jennifer holds graduate degrees in both Education and Theology. She is a graduate of the MAM program at St John’s Seminary and has a great knowledge of Canon Law.

Brandon is the director of the Music Ministry. He is a graduate of the Eastman School in Rochester, NY. He has demonstrated his expertise directing the parish choir and the children’s choir. Brandon would also be the person to contact for Weddings and Funerals. 

 
 

MaryLou Randall

Mary Lou is a long-time West Roxbury resident and a recently retired teacher. She is the director of the Parish Outreach program which helps seniors and homebound parishioners with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and companionship. The Parish outreach volunteers also visit nursing homes to say the rosary with the residents and provide rides to mass for those unable to drive.

Business and Facilities Manager

Dick is our parish business manager.  He is in charge of the parish budget and is responsible for all financial reports and projects which must be reported to the Archdiocese. Dick also serves as the facilities manager, overseeing the use of all of the parish buildings.
